A Competição The Competition The competition features eight national teams and is structured into two distinct phases: 1. Group Phase (Round-Robin): The teams are divided into two pools of four (Pool I and Pool II). In this stage, the round- robin system ensures that each team plays three initial matches. The final standings are crucial, as only the top two teams from each pool advance to the knockout stage, while the remaining teams are eliminated. 2. Knockout Phase and Medals: The model follows a cross- semifinal system: • The 1st place finisher from Pool I faces the 2nd place from Pool II. • The 1st place finisher from Pool II faces the 2nd place from Pool I. The winners of these matches secure a spot in the final to compete for the Gold Medal , while the losers of the semifinals play for the Bronze Medal . A competição é composta por oito seleções, estruturada em duas fases distintas: 1. Fase de Grupos (Round-Robin): As equipas estão divididas em dois grupos de quatro (Pool I e Pool II). Nesta fase, o sistema de todos-contra-todos garante que cada seleção realize três jogos iniciais. A classificação é determinante, pois apenas as duas melhores equipas de cada pool transitam para a fase eliminatória, enquanto as restantes são imediatamente eliminadas. 2. Fase eliminatória e medalhas: O modelo segue o sistema de meias-finais cruzadas: • O 1. classificado da Pool I defronta o 2. da Pool II. • O 1. classificado da Pool II defronta o 2. da Pool I. Os vencedores destes confrontos garantem o acesso à final para a disputa da Medalha de Ouro , ao passo que os derrotados nas meias-finais disputam a Medalha de Bronze .
