VALDIR AND ALEX WITH HIGH SCORES

Valdir Sequeira and Alex Ferreira have shown once again their attacking power, despite the different results for their respective teams.

Alex’s Diatec Trentino edged Arkas Izmir by 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-13) at Turkey, and recorded its third back-to-back win, now leading, undefeated, the Champions League pool D. The Portuguese wing spiker top scored with 17 points (15 attacks, 1 serve, 1 block). On the next matchday, scheduled for December 4, Trentino will be hosting the Turkish side.

In pool E, Austria’s SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob of Valdir Sequeira, lost to Zenit Kazan (1-3: 14-25, 25-19, 15-25, 19-25), having yet to win one match in this stage. The National Team’s opposite recorded 19 points (15 attacks, 4 serves). On the next matchday (December 3) Aich/Dob hosts the Russian powerhouse. [Standings]
