PORTUGAL TO HOST
FIRST AOEV MEETING

The recently created Association de L'Ouest Européenne de Volley-Ball (AOEV), founded on September 26 of 2013, scheduled its first meeting for the upcoming October 22 (Tuesday) at the Portuguese Volleyball Federation headquarters.

Besides Portugal, this association integrates Spain, Germany, Belgium, Italy, The Netherlands, France and Switzerland.

Being recently created, these meeting will focus on the administrative, financial and sporting aspects, highlighting the creation of competitions between these eight countries.

Vicente Araújo; Portuguese Volleyball Federation President, will assume AOEV Vice-Presidency and Treasure, while Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation President, Mr. Agustín Martín Santos, was appointed President of the association.

To remind, the Continental organism was officially presented at CEV meetings, which took place at Copenhagen, Denmark.
CEV already has five zonal associations, being AOEV (Western Europe), BVA (Balkan), EEVZA (Eastern Europe), MEVZA (Central Europe) and NEVZA (Northern Europe).
