PLAYS FRANCE AND SERBIA


France and Serbia are the Junior National Team opponents for tomorrow, men and women respectively, in the 2013 World Championship Qualifiers.

The U-21 coached by António Guerra and Ricardo Rocha will face the home team at Saint-Jean D'Iliac in the second day of the tournament [Calendar]

The National Team didn’t manage to stop Belgium’s victory today (one of the favorites), being edged in three sets (3-0: 25-17, 25-17, 25-11).
Tomas Rousseaux was the match top scorer with 13 points, while José Gomes, Bernardo Martins and João Lemos, each with 6 points, top scored for Portugal.

At Pierre Favre Hall in Saint-Jean D'Illac,France, until May 11, Portugal is to play France (May 8), Poland (May 9) and Latvia (May 10), resting in the final day of the tournament.

Pool A (Anapa) – Russia (host country), Greece, Denmark, Montenegro and Austria
Pool B (St. Jean D'Illac) – Belgium, Poland, France (host), Portugal and Latvia
Pool C (Sofia) – Bulgaria (host), Germany, Estonia, Romania and Israel
Pool D (Ivanjica) – Serbia (host), Spain, Slovakia, Finland, Czech Republic and Croatia

The first ranked teams of each pool will join the 2013 U-21 WC Final Round hosting country (Turkey) and the defending European Champion (Italy), to dispute the title from August 22 to September 1 at Ancara and Izmir.

Women’s Junior Team, coached by Gilda Harris and Paula Semedo will face Serbia tomorrow at Subotica, for the 2013 World Championship European Qualigying Pool A.

At the Hala Sportiva “Dudova Suma” in Subotica, the National Team will face Serbia (May 8), Denmark (May 10), France (May 11) and Belgium (May 12). [Calendar]

Pool B (Friuli) – Italy (host), Slovakia, Finland and Spain
Pool C (Samokov) – Germany, Bulgaria (host), Croatia, Greece and Latvia
Pool D (Ramenskoe) – Russia (host), Poland, Romania and Slovenia
