Nuno Pinheiro’s Tours VB qualified for the Pro A League Final after beating Narbonne in straight sets (3-0: 25-22, 25-23, 25-17) in the 4th match of the Playoff Semi-Finals.
The Portuguese setter had a great performance throughout the game, contributing for his team’s victory by recording 4 points.
The French champions will meet Paris Volley or AS Cannes, which will play tomorrow in the decisive match.

Also in France, Carlos Teixeira’s Stade Poitevin Volley Beach didn´t achieve the promotion to Pro B League despite all the team’s efforts.
The Portuguese libero team finished 3rd in Nationale 1 with the same points as the 2nd ranked team, after edging Conflans-Andresy-Jouy (3-0: 25-19, 25-21, 25-21) and Grenoble V. Université by 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 25-23 and 27-25).

In Germany, João José’s VFB Friedrichshafen lost the first Bundesliga 1 Playoff Final match to o Berlin Recycling Volleys (1-3: 25-27, 25-23, 24-26, 15-25), despite the 7 points accounted by the Portuguese middle blocker.
The next best-of-five series matches are set to April 28, May 2 and if necessary May 5 and 8.

In Austria, Valdir Sequeira’s SK Posojilnica Aich/Do in now behind in the series (1-3) against the defending champions Hypo Tirol VB, at the AVL Playoff Final.
Following Aich/Dob victory in the first match (3-1), the Portuguese hitter team lost two in a row (2-3 and 2-3) and now suffered the third loss by 1-3 (25-16, 21-25, 22-25, 23-25), despite the 18 points posted by Valdir.
The Austrian playoffs are played in a best-of seven series, being the next set to April 24.
