WEEKEND VOLLEYBALL PREVIEW
 

The Volleyball weekend starts tomorrow with the Gira-Volei Alentejo/Algarve Regional Meeting, set to Aureliano Mira Fernandes Avenue at Mértola.

Also starting this Friday and prolonging till Sunday, the III Division Women Final Stage is to be held at Anadia Sports Hall, involving the teams of Ala Nun'Álvares de Gondomar, Filipa de Lencastre School, Clube Voleibol de Aveiro and Volei Clube de São Miguel (Azores). [Calendar]

Due to Saturday, two much anticipated matches will take place: The Championship Playoff – match 1 in both Men and Women.

SL Benfica and SC Espinho will battle for the Championhsip Title – Men match 1, at the N.º 2 Pavillion of SL Benfica (16h30) [Calendar].
The first women’s Playoff match between CD Ribeirense and Leixões SC is set to the same day at Pico (Azores), by 19h00 local. [Calendar]

Also Saturday, the Losers Stage will come to na end, with CS Marítimo(5 points) and Leixões SC (4 points) struggling to avoid relegation.
The team of Madeira will host AA Espinho, while Leixões play at home against SC Caldas. [Calendar]

The Losers Stage – Women is 3 rounds away from its finale, however the battle for the 1st place (5th overall) is still on, with CF Belensenses/Blue (25 points), Lusófona (21) and SC Braga (19) will play for the win. [Calendar].
