The Portuguese playing in foreign clubs continue to merit a fair highlight: some because they still fight for the national title in their respective countries, others because have achieved interesting rankings.
In Germany, Marcel Gil’s RWE Volleys Bottrop (photo) won the
Bundesliga 2 North Championship by downing in the last round DJK
Delbruck in three sets (3-0:
27-25, 25-14, 25-19).
Playing at home, Nuno PInheiro’s Tours VB won the first match (3-0:
25-23, 25-22, 25-21) and lost the second match (2-3:
25-15, 25-18, 20-25, 26-28, 12-15) to Narbonne, for the Pro A
Semi-Finals Playoff. The Portuguese setter recorded 4 points in both
matches.
Valdir Sequeira’s SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob is tied (1-1) with Hypo Tirol
VB in the AVL Superleague Final.
Tiago Violas’s Jastrzebski Wegiel SA will play today and tomorrow,
Delecta Bydgoszcz the 3rd and 4th match for the 3rd rank in the Plus
Liga. Rui Santos’ Chênois Volleyball Club ended the Swiss League in the 4th rank, after being downed by TV Schonenwerd (2-3: 25-20, 20-25, 23-25, 25-21 e 10-15) in the third and final Playoff match.
