A positive balance (7 wins and 4 losses) for the European clubs with Portuguese players in their rosters. Aich/Dob (Austria), Wegiel (Poland), Castellana Grotte (Italy), Tours e Poitiers (France), Murcia (Spain) e Wiwa (Germany) where the victors.

Valdir Sequeira’s SK Posojilnica Aich/Do bis a win away to qualify for the AVL Playoffs Semi-Finals. Following its last weekend victory, Aich/Dob defeat again SG Cemtec Supervolley (3-1: 25-15, 21-25, 25-18 e 25-19).
The 3rd match is scheduled to March 13. The Portuguese opposite top scored for his team, and was the match’s 2nd best, with 15 points.
Four days later, Valdir scored another 15 points (3rd top scorer) in the MEL match held by MEZVA. However, Aich/Dob lost (1-3: 26-28, 25-23, 16-25 e 20-25) to ACH Volley Ljubljana, which claimed its 4th victory [MEZVA].

The Ferreira Bros. BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte, coached by Flavio Gulinelli, was ranked 8th in the regular stage of Italian Serie A1, after beating away Altotevere San Giustino by 3-2 (23-25, 17-25, 25-23, 25-22 e 15-13) as Alex Ferreira scored 15 points.
The round-of-16 1st match will oppose Castellana to Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia.

In France, Nuno Pinheiro’s Tours VB downed Toulouse VB (3-1: 21-25, 25-18, 25-23 e 25-20) and continues to stand alone at the top of Pro A, while André Lopes’ Chaumont fell to 4th by losing at home to AS Cannes (2-3: 25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 21-25 e 12-15), as the Portuguese hitter scored 11 points.
Still in France, Carlos Teixeira’s Stade Poitevin Volley Beach climbed to the 7th rank of Nationale 1 Playoff, after cruising past Grenoble VUC (3-0: 25-9, 25-17 e 25-23).

Núria Silva and Bonémia Gomes’ UCAM Vóley Murcia returned to 3rd, as the regular stage ends within two rounds, after beating CV Aguere in straight sets (3-0: 25-13, 25-16 e 25-14).
Despite having played very few minutes, Bonémia scored twice.

In Germany, Marcel Gil’s RWE Volleys Bottrop is still leading Bundesliga 2 North, despite the stunner loss (0-3: 23-25, 24-26 e 23-25) to FC Schuttorf 09, while Tânia Duarte’s Wiwa Hamburg kept the 5th rank, after winning (3-2) its match against Hummelsbutteler SV.

In Switzerland, Rui Santos’ Chênois Volleyball Club holds the 4th rank despite losing to EN Gas & Oil Lugano (1st) in straight sets (0-3: 18-25, 15-25 e 17-25).
