Aich/Dob (Austria), Wegiel (Poland), Castellana Grotte (Italy) Tours and Chaumont (France) and Stod (Norway) were this weekend’s victors.

Valdir Sequeira’s SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob started in the best way the AVL Playoffs Quarter-Finals.
Even without Valdir, Aich/Dob cruised past SG Cemtec Supervolley (3-0: 25-16, 25-21 e 25-13).

Tiago Violas’s Jastrzebski Wegiel SA qualified for the PlusLiga Semi-Finals after winning the fifth match against Efector Kielce by 3-0 (25-19, 25-22 e 25-18).
Besides Wegiel, Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle and Delecta Bydgoszcz are already qualified for the next round.
Asseco Resovia Rzeszow and GGE Ska Belchatow are to play today the fifth and decisive match for these two teams.

For the Italian Serie A1 Gulinelli and Ferreira Bros. BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte now ranks 8th in the league, after beating CMC Ravenna (3-1: 29-31, 25-19, 25-23 e 25-17), help by the 17 points recorded by Alexandre Ferreira.
Next weekend marks the end of the regular stage.

In France, Nuno Pinheiro’s Tours VB cruised past Narbonne (3-0: 26-24, 25-22 e 25-21) and continues to stand alone at the top of Ligue Pro A.
The Portuguese setter recorded 4 points, despite having played only the first set.
André Lopes returned to the 4th place in the standings, as Chaumont beat Tourcoing in straight sets (3-0: 25-22, 25-14 e 27-25).
The Portuguese hitter accounted 11 points in this match.
Also in France, Carlos Teixeira’s Stade Poitevin Volley Beach now ranks 8th and last in the Nationale 1 Playoffs, as a direct result of the loss against Conflans-Andresy-Jouy VB (0-3: 21-25, 20-25 e 20-25).

In Spain, Núria Silva and Bonémia Gomes’ UCAM Vóley Murcia lost at home to Nuchar Tramek Murillo by 0-3 (11-25, 32-34 e 17-25) and now stands 4th in the league.
Despite the loss, Bonémia scored for 7 times for UCAM.

Norwegian Stod Volley Steinkjer, coached by André Sá, still leads the Elite Division, three points clear of Oslo Volley, but two matches played ahead also, after downing NTNUI Volley in straight sets (3-0: 25-22, 25-16 e 25-13).

In Germany, João José’s VFB Friedrichshafen will begin the Playoffs on 16th March against Evivo Duren.
On its turn, Marcel Gil’s RWE Volleys Bottrop, which continues to stand alone at the top of Bundesliga 2 – North and will return to the competition next weekend against FC Schuttorf 09, which ranks 9th in the league.
