Tiago Violas’ Jastrzebski Wegiel SA continues climbing in the standing, and may in fact reach the top in the next round. In a productive round, Wegiel won at PGE Skra Belchatów in straight sets (3-0: 25-22, 25-20 e 28-26), thus reaching the 2nd place, only a point behind Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle, its upcoming opponent on January 13.

In the French Pro A league, André Lopes’ Chaumont featured this round’s surprise by beating the leader, Nuno Pinheiro’s Tours VB (3-1: 13/25, 25/20,28/26 e 25/23).
The Portuguese hitter recorder 11 points, while the setter had 3. Chaumont, which hold the 7th place with this victory, will play Paris Volley (4th) on January 12, while Tours will host Avignon (14th).
However before this league round, these teams will play for the Cup of France in the day after tomorrow. Chaumont will host Sète and Tours will visit Asnières.
Also in France, Carlos Teixeira’s Stade Poitevin will visit Beauvais Oise VC (6th) on January 19, for the Pool B of Nationale 1.
Renata Guerreiro’s Asul Lyon Volley, leader of Pool B Nationale 3 will host ASVEL (7th) on January 20.

In Switzerland, Rui Santos’ Chênois Volleyball Club fell to the 6th place after losing to EN Gas & Oil Lugano (0-3: 20-25, 20-25 e 19-25), current leader of the Swiss league.
On the next round (January 12), Chênois will host Volley Smash 05 Laufenburg-Kaisten.

In Italy, the Ferreira brothers’ BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte, coached by Flavio Gulinelli, lost at home to Cucine Lube Banca Marche Macerata (0-3: 21-25, 21-25 e 13-25), 2nd ranked team of Serie A1, but remains in the 9th position.
Marco Ferreira scored 9 points, while his brother Alexandre recorded 7 points.
On the next round (January 13) Castellana visits Sir Safety Perugia (8th).

In Germany, João José’s VFB Friedrichshafen (3rd) will host VCO Berlin (January 11) and TV Ingersoll Buhl (January 12), 11th and 6th ranked teams repectivelly.
Marcel Gil’s RWE Volleys Bottrop, leader of Bundesliga 2 North will visit Bitterfeld-Wolfen (4th) on January 12.
In the same day, Tânia Duarte’s VG Wiwa Hamburg, 7th ranked team of Germany Regional North – Women, will host the 6th ranked VC Eimsbuttel.

In Norway, Stod Volley Steinkjer, coached by André Sá, which currently holds the 2nd place of Elite Division – Women, will visit in the upcoming rounds, the leader Oslo Volley (January 12) and the 6th ranked Koll (January 13). In the Cup of Norway Final, scheduled to January 19, Stod will play Oslo Volley.
In Spain, Núria Silva and Bonémia Gomes’s UCAM Voléy Murcia, currently 4th in the Women’s Superleague, will host AD A. Pinguela (8th) on January 12.
