VOLLEYBALL FOR EVERY TASTE
 

A handful of volleyball is to be played in the next three days starting tomorrow with four men’s National Championship I Division matches: Vitória SC-Leixões SC, o GC Vilacondense-Castelo da Maia GC, o CS Marítimo-Esmoriz GC and the clash between the tough SC Caldas and the unbeaten SL Benfica which will be live broadcasted in Sport TV.

The matches between SC Espinho x AA Espinho and Clube K x AJ Fonte Bastard were postponed to November 23 and December 9 respectively. [Schedule]

The highlight for Saturday’s matches is the clash beetween SC Espinho, defending champions and 3rd in the standings, which will be hosting AJ Fonte Bastardo, currently 2nd placed team. However more interesting matches are as follows: AA Espinho-Castelo da Maia GC, Esmoriz GC-SC Caldas, Leixões SC-Clube K, Vitória SC-CS Marítimo and SL Benfica-GC Vilacondense.

On Sunday the battles will continue with the fixtures AA Espinho-Esmoriz GC, Castelo da Maia GC-Clube K, SC Caldas-AJF Bastardo, Leixões SC-CS Marítimo, GC Vilacondense-SC Espinho and SL Benfica-Vitória SC. [Standings]

These matchdays will yet be branded by the promotion to the Portuguese League Against Cancer actions.

In the women’s championship we emphasize the matches evolving the three top ranked teams with special attention to CF «Os Belenenses»/Blue, current leader hosting defending champions CD Ribeirense. This match can be followed through Internet.
Looking to take advantage of its opponent’s backslidings the undefeated GDC Gueifães and Castelo da Maia GC will both play in Madeira versus CS Madeira and CSD Câmara de Lobos. SC Braga and Leixões SC will play for the fourth place in the standings.

The round will be completed with the weekend’s double fixtures GC Santo Tirso-CD Ribeirense, CF «Os Belenenses»/Blue-Lusófona VC, SC Braga GC-Santo Tirso and Lusófona VC-Leixões SC. [Schedule]
