THREE EUROPEANS
IN THE HALL OF FAME...
 

The Volleyball Hall of Fame was reinforced with three Europeans: the Dutchman, Peter Blangé and the Russians, Lyudmila Buldakova and Georgiy Mondzolevski. The organizers of the Hall of Fame also included the Brazilian, Mauricio Lima and the Americans Mike Dodd and Jeff Stork.

As a player, Peter Blangé was 500 times international and won the gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games, having been invited in 2006 to train the Dutch Senior Men's National Team.

With a 14 years career, Lyudmila Buldakova conquered for the Soviet Union, three world champion titles, two Olympic gold medals and three European titles.

Georgiy Mondzolevski, former setter of the Russian National Team, was Olympic champion in 1964 and 1968, world champion in 1960 and Europe champion in 1967.

In addition to several individual awards, Mike Dodd was a silver medalist at the Olympics in 1996, among 75 titles won in Beach Volleyball.

Mauricio Lima is one of two players [the other is the Italian Andrea Giani] that was present in five Olympic Games.

Jeff Stork was part of the North American Team that won the Olympics in 1988 and the World Cup in 1986.
